Almost a proud princess is an original Slovak family musical by Michal Babiak and Milan Malinovský.  It is loosely based on the Czech folk tale Punished Pride from Božena Němcova's collection of National Tales and Rumors II. The fairy tale is known thanks to the film adaptation from 1952 with Alena Vránová in the title role. Our fairy tale differs slightly from the literary or film version, as it was created for a theatrical setting. The audience can look forward to new plot twists and new characters - the evil witch of Chernorada, the funny jester, or the confused king of Midnight.
