Author: Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol.

Both are masters of the word and the perfect rendering of characters and figures of various characters. The two meet again after fifty years, when Ján Přeučil first excelled in this dramatic comedy, which not only appeals to but also fascinates viewers of all generations. The play is based on notes from Gogol's life and gives the actor the opportunity to portray the stories of people ridiculous to the point of crying and pitiful to the point of tears, to depict romanticism turned into a joke, before even in the parody the adversity of fate, often controlled by a demon, prevails.

Jan Přeučil comments on the creation of this performance as follows: "45 years ago, this play was discovered in the Netherlands by my colleague Monika Švábová, and the director Gillar adapted it for me. At that time, one-actor plays were not performed so often, so it was a real success. We have been playing notes for many seasons and we are looking forward to the famously great Bratislava audience.
