After reality TV judge and mega-producer Simon Cowell brought together Urs Buhler, Sebastien Izambard, Carlos Marino and David Miller to form Il Divo in 2003, the four-piece multinational vocal group remains one of the biggest musical phenomena of the millennium. The quartet popularized the genre known today as operatic pop, in 2006 they were entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the most commercially successful group in classical music genre mix in international music history. Mixing operatic techniques with romantic and popular songs, Il Divo have broken records, won every award in existence in the classic genre mix category, shared the microphone with stars Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand, and brought the perfect blend of styles and content, image and music, deep talent and a passion that permeates millions around the world.
