NÁRODNÝ BEH DEVÍN - BRATISLAVA 16 Apr 2023

The Devín - Bratislava National Run is one of the oldest athletic events in Slovakia. It was run for the first time from Devín in 1921 and thus the event went down in the history of athletics as the oldest road race and also the oldest athletic event in Slovakia. The first years had only a few runners and thousands of enthusiastic spectators. It was always a big event for Bratislava. The number of participants fluctuated around a thousand until 2005, in 2007 it exceeded 1500 runners, in the following years the participation in this run was constantly increasing. Since 2015, the number of participants has been around 6,000 runners. The goal is to preserve the spirit of this event, its traditions, so that we have a beautiful and sincere running event in our Bratislava. The priority of the event is not peak performances, but the popularization of running as the most natural sports activity.
