PIAF! THE SHOW 01 Dec 2023

SHOW SLOVAKIA agency brings to Bratislava the performance "Piaf! The Show", which reminds of the legendary chanson singer Edith Piaf.

On December 1, 2023, in Bratislava's NTC Arena, the audience will have the opportunity to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the death of Edith Piaf - a woman whose position as the queen of chanson is undoubtedly immortal. "Piaf! The Show" will feature several great musicians.

L´Accordéoniste, La vie en rose, Hymne á l´amour, Padam…Padam…, Milord, Non, nie je regretterien – these compositions by Edith Piaf are treasures of the 20th century and the foundation of the chanson tradition. In the performance, they will be revived by the respected French singer Nathalie Lermitte.

The first part of the two-part show will offer the atmosphere of Montmartre, the legendary bohemian quarter, where music, art and beauty mixed with alcohol, prostitution and drugs, which undoubtedly influenced the life and songs of the "sparrow" from Paris. The second part of the show captures Edith in the post-war period of her greatest fame, when her concerts, both in the Paris Olympia and in many European halls, were bursting at the seams.
