Postmodern Jukebox in Bratislava!
The American formation Postmodern Jukebox of pianist and arranger Scott Bradlee became globally famous for adapting pop and rock songs into a "retro" swing style. The quality, originality and charm with which Bradlee produces these "remakes" quickly became famous on the social network YouTube, where the band's fame and "low-cost" visual style that makes the music stand out. A sold-out world tour followed.
In October, the group will present itself in Slovakia with a slightly different concept, going back in time to the "Gatsby" era of old jazz of the 20s. Bradlee himself emphasizes that this return to a certain intimacy and the times when real art sprouted in jazz is logical in today's age of alienating modern technologies. And of course, as a creator with a sense of style, he knows how to translate this concept into full-fledged music.
