The Flower Kings, familiarly nicknamed "FLOKI" and called YES of the new millennium by music critics, are a rock band playing art & progressive-rock. The group around band leader Roine Stolt was formed in 1994 after the enthusiastic reception of his solo album called "The Flower King". It was during the period when Roine witnessed the progressive rock revival in the 90s. The music of The Flower Kings radiates positive emotions in today's negative, violent, aggressive and competitive music business. It invokes old hippie ideals, both lyrically and musically. If any band deserves the epithet "epic", it is undoubtedly The Flower Kings. They have been enriching the musical world for almost 30 years with symphonic masterpieces, which are once again an exceptional experience "live on stage". So far they have recorded 15 studio albums and the other one was released in 2022 under the name "By Royal Decree".

The Flower Kings remained the main project for Roine Stolt, alongside him in 1998 he released his second solo album, Hydrophonia, on which he reveals his great influences - iconic musicians of prog rock, art rock such as Frank Zappa and Steve Howe. He also performs in the supergroup Transatlantic (Mike Portnoy, Neal Morse, Pete Trewavas), in 2015 Stolt joined Steve Hackett's live band (Genesis) on the Genesis Revisited Tour. In 2016, in a joint project with Jon Anderson (YES), they composed the album Invention of Knowledge.
