Judas Priest is not giving up and believes that they will play the concert this year

Judas Priest originally planned to celebrate its 50th anniversary in Bratislava on July 24, 2020, but they decided to deal with the new situation caused by the spread of the coronavirus by postponing the concert to a new date because they did not want to risk the health of their fans under any circumstances. Unfortunately, the situation is still serious and the current anti-pandemic regulations do not allow for an event of this magnitude, which means that the Judas Priest concert will not take place on 12 July 2021. The organizers from the ProMusic agency realize that it would be disappointing not only for Slovak fans if one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time, which also holds the Grammy Award for the best metal concert band, would not finally play the concert in Slovakia. Therefore, it is more than gratifying that the band and the organizers managed to find a consensus on a new date. "We are glad that the band has agreed to a new date for the second time and the band members have behaved like professionals who behave responsibly towards their fans. The crisis that has lasted for a year has taken us ruthlessly by the organizers and we are extremely grateful to the bands, as well as to all the fans and visitors, that they are considerate of each other. We are convinced that this is why this music is immortal. ” Tomáš Kršňák, co-founder of ProMusic, which organizes the concert, comments on the situation. Their concert celebration will take place on July 21, 2022 in the AXA arena of the NTC in Bratislava. And the great news is that the tickets you have bought so far remain valid and do not need to be replaced. If you have any questions, you can find out more at the e-mail address info@ticketlive.sk

Judas Priest are the founders of a genre that has inspired many other world-famous bands to date, starting with Van Halen, Metallica and Slipknot. In 2006 they won the VH1 - Rock Honors award, in 2010 they won the Grammy Award for Best Metal Concert Group and in 2017 they were nominated for the Rockenrol Hall of Fame. In 2018, they released the album Firepower, which had excellent acclaim and reached the top of the rock charts. The year 2020 was to be marked by an epic celebration of their 50th anniversary, which included the 50 Heavy Metal Years tour and Bratislava was among the stops. The pandemic put a stop to this plan, but we believe that it is thanks to this break that the celebrations will eventually be more exuberant and we will all enjoy it together. The band will arrive in Bratislava in a line-up consisting of singer Rob Halford, guitarists Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner, bassist Ian Hill and drummer Scott Travis. You will have the opportunity to see and hear live the band that shaped the rock and heavy metal music as we know it today.
